I suppose one of the most intriguing news stories the past few weeks has been the announcement by some Restaurants in the USA that they will be banning food Photography! Some claim that it's because of the flashes going off in restaurants and spoiling the mood for other customers. Others are angry that some professional photographers are making money or getting a name for themselves by sharing images of food that someone else has 'arranged.' And then there are the few that don't like the instagram snaps floating around that don't show their dishes in the best light. But what are your thoughts on the matter? Literature Previews, DDs, and YouIntroducing a new policy regarding Literature Gallery DD features.
While not everyone uses preview images and they're not technically part of the work, we're going to require that preview images be properly credited for future features. This does include preview images you've customized that use texture or other such resources.
An important note: Not all images are stock. If an image isn't stock and you want to use it as your preview, please make sure that you've obtained explicit permission from the artist. We will also accept previewed stories that were done for a picture-based prompt if the prompter asked permission to use those images. Of course, you'll need to link to the prompt in your comments.
**Also, if you are using credited stock but the stock terms say it's not to be used like that, someone—okay, it's me—is going to tell the stock creator. Please respect people who put up these resources and read their own rules before using. I've seen a few that w

Celebrating Diversity #13In this issue of Celebrating Diversity, I would like to remind you of an amazing feeling...when you see a piece of art created in a medium or genre that you have little or no experience of working in, and it feels like you're witnessing something magical, something beyond your comprehension.
It's wonderful to revel in the joy of How do they do that? and find inspiration in the creations of other artists. So I challenge you to take a step outside of the galleries that you regularly browse and immerse yourself in the experience of indulging in something new.

#photohunt is having a chat event on Saturday, January 12th. It will be held in the #Photohunt chatroom on dAmn.
If you have a digital camera and some free time I HIGHLY recomend you take a shot at this game. You are given a topic and have 20 minutes to shoot

it, edit and upload it. Once the time is up you thumb your photo in the chatroom and the best photo wins!
